Business Development Director - Private Equity
This role can support multiple target regions across the USA - (Northeast, Midwest, Florida, West Coast, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and develop relationships with private equity firms, portfolio executives, and adjacent industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
- Leverage existing networks and relationships to rapidly accelerate market penetration, including mining internal relationship data and converting warm connections into active opportunities.
- Provide market feedback on talent availability, competitive dynamics, buyer behavior, and regional demand to inform ongoing strategic expansion plans.
- Represent the firm with professionalism, consistency, and a credible private‑equity‑aligned presence that aligns with the firm’s brand and long‑term positioning.
- Travel as needed within assigned territory (with updated travel planning supported by internal team).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced sales professional with established relationships in private equity, consulting, technology, or adjacent markets.
- Comfortable operating in a performance‑driven, entrepreneurial environment with a commission‑based model.
- Proven ability to generate new revenue from warm relationships, executive networks, and industry connections.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to represent complex, high‑value services credibly.
- Prefers autonomy, has financial stability for a commission‑driven role, and is motivated by significant upside potential.
- Thrives in fast‑moving environments and is capable of helping shape new processes and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Experience in IT services, consulting, or business transformation (a plus).
- Role is designed to scale as the company grows its national presence in five key markets.
- Successful representatives may expand responsibility, build regional teams, or transition into broader sales leadership or strategic roles.
- Participation in the company’s five‑year growth plan, including major brand initiatives, thought‑leadership releases, and potential long‑term liquidity or exit events.
