Job summary

Vanguard Durst Digital Printing Systems is seeking a Service Technician to install and service printers across the United States and Canada, ensuring customers are delighted with our products. Training will begin at the Atlanta-area headquarters and extend to field sites as you shadow experienced technicians.

You will train customers, diagnose and repair issues, and document service calls in Salesforce, collaborating with Sales and Customer Service to meet commitments and deliver outstanding

Qualifications

• Heavy, industrial equipment maintenance knowledge/experience.
• Installation/support experience onsite as field tech/engineer.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time throughout the USA and Canada, with occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.
• Great attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify, recommend, and implement effective technical repair and maintenance solutions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• English proficiency.
• Experience or training within some form of mechanical discipline.
• Valid driver license and willingness to do pre-employment drug and criminal background checks.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk most of the workday, including frequent bending/stooping. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all printers are properly installed and operational.
• Train Vanguard customers on how to operate our printers.
• Diagnose, repair and solve issues with our printers via remote support or onsite service.
• Support sales activities by passing information/opportunities to Sales
• Provide remote support for our customer service 1-800 line.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to direct activities that support and deliver on our commitments.
• Document/Record service calls including materials and resolutions in our software (Salesforce) system.
