Job summary

Vanguard Durst Digital Printing Systems is seeking a Service Technician to install and service our printers, train customers, and resolve issues both remotely and onsite to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will travel up to 75% across the USA and Canada, with weekend work as needed, bringing strong mechanical/electrical skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving. Join our team and help deliver reliable printing solutions.

Qualifications

• Heavy, industrial equipment maintenance knowledge/experience.
• Installation/support experience onsite as field tech/engineer.
• Willingness to travel as needed, typically up to 75% of the time throughout the USA and Canada, with occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify, recommend, and implement effective technical repair and maintenance solutions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• English proficiency.
• Experience or training within some form of mechanical discipline.
• Valid driver license and willingness to do pre-employment drug and criminal background checks.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk most of the workday, including frequent bending/stooping. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and service all printers to ensure customer delight.
• Train customers on operating Vanguard printers.
• Diagnose, repair and resolve printer issues via remote or onsite service.
• Support sales by passing information/opportunities to Sales.
• Provide remote support for the customer service 1-800 line.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to coordinate activities.
• Document/service calls and resolutions in Salesforce.
