Job summary

Vanguard Durst Digital Printing Systems is seeking a Service Technician to install and service printers, train customers, and support remote and onsite service across the USA and Canada. The role emphasizes customer care, problem solving, and effective communication.

The ideal candidate will have heavy equipment maintenance experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to travel up to 75% with occasional weekend work. Valid driver license and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Heavy, industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Installation/support experience onsite as field tech/engineer.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time throughout the USA and Canada, with occasional weekend work
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with Salesforce or similar service software.
• English proficiency; valid driver license; background checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all printers are properly installed and operational.
• Train Vanguard customers on how to operate our printers.
• Diagnose, repair and solve issues with our printers via remote support or onsite service.
• Support sales activities by passing information/opportunities to Sales
• Provide remote support for our customer service 1-800 line.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to direct activities that support and deliver on our commitments.
• Document/Record service calls including materials and resolutions in Salesforce.
