Job summary

Vanguard Durst Digital Printing Systems is seeking a Service Technician to install and service printers, ensuring customer delight and product improvements. You will train customers, diagnose issues, and support sales while working remotely and onsite across the USA and Canada.

Ideal candidates bring heavy equipment maintenance experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a readiness to travel up to 75% with some weekend work.

Qualifications

• Heavy, industrial equipment maintenance knowledge/experience.
• Installation/support experience onsite as field tech/engineer.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time throughout the USA and Canada, with occasional weekend work.
• Great attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify, recommend, and implement effective technical repair and maintenance solutions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• English proficiency.
• Experience or training within some form of mechanical discipline.
• Valid driver license and willingness to do pre-employment drug and criminal background checks.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk most of the workday, including frequent bending/stooping. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and service printers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Train Vanguard customers on operating our printers.
• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot printers via remote support or onsite service.
• Support sales by passing information/opportunities to Sales.
• Provide remote support for the customer service line.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to coordinate activities.
• Document and record service calls including materials and resolutions in Salesforce.
