Job summary

Canon Business Process Services in Carmel, IN is seeking a Print Operator to support client print and copy needs. You will follow production processes to produce quality finished products and provide basic troubleshooting for copiers and printers.

You will review requests, prioritize workloads, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining logs and performing light equipment maintenance. The role requires strong communication and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years experience in a print center.
• Familiar with general print center operations.
• Knowledge of machine operations from low to high volume high speed duplicating equipment.
• Proficiency in the use of reproduction-related equipment (fax, scanner, punches, staplers, inserters, folders, paper cutters, spiral-binding, velo-binders, stitcher and collaters, counters).
• Close supervision involving detailed instructions and constant checking on work performance.
• Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance is a must.
• Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow directives and handle physical demands.
• Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize and submit print requests from mainframe/mini/server/desktop according to complexity and urgency. Ensure outputs are quality checked and meet instructions.
• Deliver print jobs within established timeframes; maintain logs of all work submitted and completed including service logs.
• Responsible for minor maintenance of reproduction equipment by solving paper jams; placing service calls and routine cleaning.
• Take meter readings of each duplicating machine daily. Monitor inventory of print supplies, stock paper and toners.
• Inform clients of estimated completion time and resolve issues to client satisfaction.
• Help to open/close the print center; keep the center neat and professional.
• Make adjustments to image quality, create folders/directories for print on demand orders; handle client requests for specialized printing.
• Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and billing.
