Job summary

TCGplayer, an eBay subsidiary, is seeking a Principal Product Designer, Design Systems, to evolve our shared design system across the commerce ecosystem and partner with Design and Engineering to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences. You will lead AI-assisted design initiatives and codify scalable design patterns across desktop, web, and mobile.

The role emphasizes governance, tokens, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive speed, quality, and accessibility in our products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Product, UX, Visual, or Experience Design for enterprise-scale systems.
• Expertise in design systems architecture, tokens, and governance.
• Portfolio showing elegant, polished experiences and reusable system assets.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and design-to-code workflows.
• Experience across desktop, responsive web, and native mobile platforms.
• Strong collaboration with engineering to ensure design-production alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve TCGplayer's design system across the commerce ecosystem.
• Partner with Design and Engineering to implement the system in Figma and code.
• Define governance, documentation, and contribution models for scale.
• Develop component libraries, tokens, and workflows to boost productivity.
• Improve accessibility and UX patterns based on customer needs.
• Collaborate with UX Design and Product on roadmaps and design sprints.
• Champion modern workflows including AI-assisted design and design-to-code.
