Job summary

TCGplayer, an eBay subsidiary, seeks a Principal Product Designer to lead and evolve the company’s design system across its commerce ecosystem. You will shape visual language, interaction patterns, and reusable components, collaborating with Design and Engineering to drive consistency and quality in both Figma and production.

You will push for scalable design system governance, tokens, and tooling, while advancing AI-assisted design workflows to future‑proof product development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Product, UX, Visual, or Experience Design, with enterprise-scale design systems experience.
• Expertise in design systems architecture, libraries, tokens, governance, and scalable contribution models.
• Exceptional visual and interaction design skills with polished product experiences.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and design-to-code workflows.
• Experience designing desktop, web, and mobile experiences at scale.
• Strong collaboration with Engineering to ensure design-production consistency.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve TCGplayer's design system across the commerce ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to implement the system across Figma and code.
• Define governance, documentation, and contribution models for system scalability.
• Develop and maintain component libraries, design tokens, and workflows to boost productivity.
• Raise the quality bar by advancing visual language and accessibility standards.
• Partner with UX Design and Product teams on roadmaps and design sprints.
