Job summary

TCGplayer, an eBay company, seeks a Principal Product Designer, Design Systems, to evolve the shared design system powering our commerce ecosystem. You will drive visual language, interaction patterns, and reusable components across marketplace experiences, seller tools, and fulfillment systems.

You will collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Product to raise quality, accessibility, and efficiency, while advancing AI-assisted design and token-driven workflows for scalable development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Product, UX, Visual, or Experience Design.
• Expertise in design systems architecture, governance, and scalable collaboration.
• Strong ability to translate design systems into reusable assets and practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve TCGplayer's design system across the commerce ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to implement in Figma and code.
• Define and maintain design standards, governance, and contribution models.
• Advance tooling with component libraries, design tokens, and workflows.
• Improve visual language, accessibility, and UX patterns for multiple products.
• Partner with UX Design and Product to roadmap initiatives and sprints across teams.
• Champion modern design workflows including AI-assisted design and design-to-code pipelines.
