Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer to join a close-knit team developing physics-based modeling for the DoD Space domain. You will build EO/IR/RF models and drive software solutions that support AI hardware and sensor design.

In this onsite role, you will craft new C++ models, integrate across languages, and mentor colleagues while solving complex energy transport and signal processing challenges for mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Science/Math or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with OO design in C/C++ and data evaluation in MATLAB/Python.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux; EO/RF domain knowledge is a plus.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques for advanced systems.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology in software implementations.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Collaborate across teams and work in a multi-language environment.
• Research and develop EO/RF modeling solutions.
• Mentor peers and share EO/RF expertise.
