Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling to join a close-knit team in Tucson, AZ. You will build advanced physics-based modeling for DoD Space, deploying EO/IR/RF modeling techniques and cutting-edge software to support AI/hardware development.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, development of maintainable C++ models, and mentoring teammates in EO/RF expertise. This onsite position offers relocation support and a path to security-cleared work.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, with MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux or Windows command line and cross-platform environments.

Responsibilities

• You will champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
• You will develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
• You will deploy EO or RF phenomenology and physics principles in software.
• You will enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
