Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will create advanced physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD Space, developing EO/IR/RF technologies to support engineers and AI hardware work.

You will deploy cutting-edge modeling tools, collaborate across teams, and mentor others while advancing energy transport and signal processing research in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field and 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with object-oriented design in C/C++ and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience on UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line.
• Experience in electro-optics, radar processing, EO/IR/RF systems, or related algorithms.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology in software implementation.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Work across programming languages and build environments in a production software setting.
• Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to solve complex software and physics problems.
• Mentor teammates with EO or RF expertise.
