Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling in Tucson, AZ. You will join a close-knit team to create physics-based modeling solutions for the DoD Space, developing EO/IR/RF modeling technologies and advancing AI-enabled hardware concepts in an on-site role.

You will deploy cutting-edge software, work across languages, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while mentoring colleagues and supporting mission-critical programs.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field plus at least 10 years of experience.
Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++ and C; MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship for security eligibility.
Experience with UNIX/Linux and/or Windows command line environments.

Responsibilities

Champion novel modeling techniques for advanced signal and sensor modeling.
Develop new C++ models in extensible, maintainable form.
Apply EO/RF phenomenology in software implementations.
Enable customer success through adoption and use of modeling solutions.
Collaborate with multiple teams and mentor peers on EO/RF topics.
