Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer in Tucson, AZ. You will create physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD Space, develop key EO/IR/RF technologies, and support engineers with complex energy transport challenges.

This onsite role emphasizes collaboration across teams and applying cutting-edge modeling to next-gen AI hardware and software. The position requires a strong background in C++, MATLAB/Python data evaluation, and experience in EO/RF

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field with 10+ years of relevant experience
Experience with object-oriented software design in C++, C; MATLAB/Python for data evaluation
Experience with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line
Experience in electro-optics or radar processing, EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics or signal processing
Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable fashion.
Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and physics principles in software implementations.
Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
Work across programming languages and build environments in an established software product.
Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.
Mentor and share EO or RF expertise with the team.
