Jacobs, a global leader in engineering, is seeking a Principal Substation Engineer to drive design deliverables for transmission and distribution projects. You will collaborate with regional and global teams to support utility and developer clients in decarbonization efforts and modernization.

Qualificações

• 5 years of direct substation design experience with utilities or consulting firms.
• Knowledge of HV substation components and GIS concepts is strongly preferred.
• Experience developing substation designs from concept to IFC drawings including BOMs.
• Familiarity with grounding, lighting protection, and fault studies.
• Vendor specification development and QA/QC of designs.
• Owner's Engineer/Owner's Representative experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Interface with utility/developer clients and cross-functional teams to develop substation designs.
• Lead design deliverables to meet project scope, schedule and budget.
• Provide QA/QC of design calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and support sales/proposals for new contracts.
• Perform field visits and engineering support during construction.
