Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer/Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA.

The role focuses on structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering for a fast-paced development effort. The ideal candidate will analyze, research, and develop structural specifications for metals, non-metals, and composites, performing damage tolerance, durability, and random vibration analyses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years aerospace structural analysis.
Master’s degree in STEM with 3+ years aerospace structural analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide stress analysis for primary and secondary aircraft structures.
Review analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy and clarity.
Coordinate with other disciplines during design solution development.
Present structural issues and solutions to management and customers.
Maintain and improve designs to support production deliveries.
Develop robust solutions aligned with program objectives.
Evaluate as-built products for conformance to standards.
