Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale/El Segundo, CA seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team. The role supports a 9/80 schedule on 1st shift and focuses on structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering for a high-paced development effort.

The candidate analyzes metals, non-metals, or composite airframe structures, with experience in random vibration and large FE models. Security clearance is required. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with 2+ years in aerospace structural analysis.
• MS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with 0 years experience.
• Active USG Secret clearance or higher (with background investigation).
• Experience in bonded, metallic, and composite structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide stress analysis for primary and secondary structures.
• Review analyses, drawings and repairs for accuracy and clarity.
• Coordinate with other disciplines during design solutions.
• Present structural issues/solutions to management and customers.
• Develop solutions and maintain/improve part designs for production.
