Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team. The role involves engineering stress analysis for primary and secondary aircraft structures, including metallic and bonded composite elements, in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities include analysis validation, collaboration across disciplines, and presenting findings to management. Candidates should have a STEM degree with relevant experience and the ability to obtain required security

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 2+ years aerospace structural design experience OR MS in STEM with 0 years experience.
• Experience in bonded composite structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Experience in metallic structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis methods and large FEM models.
• Familiarity with PATRAN or FEMAP.
• Ability to obtain and maintain active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis for primary and secondary structures.
• Review analyses, drawings and repairs for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with other disciplines during design development.
• Present structural issues and solutions to management and customers.
• Maintain and improve designs to support production deliveries.
• Develop practical solutions aligned with program objectives.
• Evaluate as-built products for standards compliance.
