Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems in California seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer/Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join a high-paced development team at Palmdale or El Segundo, CA. The role supports 1st shift under a 9/80 schedule, focusing on structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering.

The position may be filled at Engineer or Principal level based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 2+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience
• MS in Engineering with 0 years of experience
• Active USG Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain SAP access
• Experience in bonded composite structural analysis
• Experience in metallic structural analysis
• Experience with structural analysis methods and large FEM models
• Experience using Patran or FEMAP

Responsabilités

• Provides stress analysis for primary and secondary structure
• Review of completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy and completeness
• Coordination and clear communication with other disciplines during development of design solutions
• Concise presentation and explanation of structural issues/solutions to internal management and customer representatives
• Maintains and improves part designs, equipment, and systems in support of production deliveries
• Develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough and aligned with program objectives
• Evaluation of as built products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications
