Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer/Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA and is assigned to 1st shift 9/80 schedule.

Primary function is structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering supporting a high paced development effort.

Qualifications

• Active USG Secret clearance required or within reasonable time.
• Experience in aerospace structural analysis.
• Ability to develop and manipulate large Finite Element Models.

Responsibilities

• Provides stress analysis for primary and secondary structure.
• Review analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with other disciplines during design solutions.
• Present and explain structural issues/solutions to management and customers.
• Maintain and improve designs and systems in production support.
• Develop solutions that are thorough and practical for program objectives.
• Evaluate as-built products for conformity to standards and procedures.
