Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an opening for a Structural Analysis Engineer/Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team in Palmdale or El Segundo, CA and is assigned to a 1st shift 9/80 schedule. The role focuses on structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering supporting a high paced development effort.

Tools include CATIA, FEMAP, Patran, Nastran for FE modeling and analysis.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering with aerospace/mechanical/civil focus.
• Experience in aerospace structural analysis and hand-sheet methods.
• Proficiency with structural FE tools (PATRAN, FEMAP, Patran, Nastran).

Responsibilities

• Provide stress analysis for primary and secondary structures.
• Review analyses, drawings and repairs for accuracy and clarity.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to develop design solutions.
• Develop and manipulate large FEM models for complex structures.
