Job summary

Constellation is seeking a highly technical Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, development, and modernization of enterprise software solutions. You will drive architecture across portfolios, partnering with stakeholders, cybersecurity, and product teams to enable AI integration and cloud adoption.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent communication with senior management and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a technical program with 8+ years of experience.
8+ years in a technical specialty or equivalent experience across portfolios.
3+ years architecting distributed systems and cloud migrations.

Responsibilities

Drive multiple projects through to delivery, removing obstacles as needed.
Provide Technology Production support for high-value applications across portfolios.
Develop architecture and design of large-scale distributed services.
Drive improvements to software engineering practices and standards.
Prioritize technology investments to balance short- and long-term goals.
Collaborate across teams to promote code reuse and mentor others.
Stay current with industry trends and apply improvements with a data-driven approach.
Provide coaching and mentorship for IT personnel and promote inclusion.
Architect integrations for portfolio applications and AI adoption.
Manage high-availability and regulated operational environments.
