Job summary

Constellation seeks a Principal Software Engineer, AI to lead the overall software design of AI initiatives across portfolios. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong Python, Databricks, and Azure expertise, and a track record of delivering scalable AI systems that drive measurable business value.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and guide production support while shaping the organization's AI/ML strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• 10+ years delivering software solutions, with 4+ years focused on AI/ML.
• Experience consulting stakeholders on business needs and delivering impactful solutions.
• Expertise designing and deploying AI/ML solutions using Microsoft technologies, Azure, and Databricks.
• Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Java, or Julia for data analysis.
• Recognized SME in Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Data architecture, modeling, and solution implementation experience.
• Excellent communication and travel willingness (25%).

Responsibilities

• Manage intake, evaluation, and lifecycle of AI projects from ideation to deployment.
