Constellation Energy Corp. seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead architecture, design, development, and modernization of enterprise software supporting power generation and digital transformation.

This senior role partners with stakeholders, security, infrastructure, and product owners to drive architectural excellence. The candidate will mentor teams, ensure high-availability operations, and guide cloud adoption (Azure, Appian, AWS) while advancing AI integrations and scalable services

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical specialty or equivalent
• 3+ years architecting distributed systems
• Experience migrating workloads to cloud (GCP)
• 10+ years IT application production support for enterprise systems
• 10+ years software design and development with backend/db services (SQL/NoSQL)
• 9+ years hands-on experience in OO languages (Python, Java, C++, C#)

Responsibilities

• Drive multiple projects to delivery and remove obstacles
• Provide production support for high-value applications across portfolios
• Architect and design large-scale distributed software services
• Improve software engineering practices and standards
• Prioritize technology investments balancing short- and long-term goals
