Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Defense Systems team supporting the Sentinel program. You will design, develop, and deploy launch equipment hardware and systems for each weapons system facility, collaborating with users and engineers to deliver high-performance mechanical solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 2–5 years of experience, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred).
• Familiar with ISO, ASME, Mil Spec, NAS standards.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical content.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and mechanisms for launch equipment.
• Develop CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center.
• Verify designs via modeling, simulation, and test data analysis.
• Support lifecycle phases from design to maintenance.
• Prepare reports and interface with customers.
