Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Mechanical Engineer (Level 3) to design, develop and deploy launch equipment for the Sentinel program. You will create CAD models, analyze structures, and collaborate with users and engineers to deliver high-performance solutions.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years experience (or MS with 3 years, or 5 years for Principal), U.S. citizenship, and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Principal level requires 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s with 3 years.
• U.S. Citizenship and a Secret Security Clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.
• At least 2 years CAD modeling experience (Siemens NX preferred).
• 2+ years mechanical engineering experience in mechanical systems (mechanisms preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as mechanical designer for mechanisms on a major program.
• Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical/aerospace products.
• Develop CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Verify specifications through modeling, testing, and analysis.
• Support all lifecycle phases from design to maintenance.
• Prepare reports and interface with customers.
