Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Defense Systems team supporting the U.S. Air Force Sentinel program. The role covers design, development, production, and deployment of launch‑equipment hardware and systems for each weapons system facility.

You will develop CAD models using Siemens NX, perform analyses, and contribute across the full lifecycle while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with customers and IPT leads. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of experience.
• Active or current Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP approval.
• 5+ years CAD modeling experience using Siemens NX.
• Experience leading design teams and communicating with customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mechanical designer for mechanical systems on a Defense Systems program.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy launch equipment hardware and systems.
• Create CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center.
• Perform stress/dynamic analyses and verify designs with simulations and tests.
