RTX Tucson is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Development Engineer to lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams, building influential relationships with internal stakeholders.

You will develop MDPs, provide technical input to designs, and guide factory engineers. This role requires strong manufacturing process development experience and DoD/ATF clearance readiness, with onsite work in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement
• Ability to work on programs requiring special program access
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate projects across the extended value streams.
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) with assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
• Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers.
• Applying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs.
• Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program.
• Recommending process and procedural changes to ensure objectives in cost, efficiency and quality.
• Designing, controlling and improving the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team.
• Identifying and resolving constraints across the program.
• Participating in corrective action investigations.
