Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Development Engineer to lead manufacturing improvements from early development through production transition. You will guide manufacturing plans, assess capabilities, and influence program decisions across the value stream.

The role demands manufacturing experience, process development skills, and the ability to obtain interim and final security clearances. Onsite work with a focus on cost, quality, and producibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
• Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers
• Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs
• Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
• Recommend process and procedural changes to ensure that objectives in cost, efficiency, and quality are met
• Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
• Identify and resolve constraints across the program
• Participate in corrective action investigation
