Job summary

Axon seeks a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and software domains. This leadership role shapes standards, architecture, and processes for mass production of mission-critical hardware.

You will partner with EE, RF, SW, and ME leads to drive requirements, tradeoffs, and cross-functional design decisions, ensuring a cohesive, scalable device.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience with expertise in multiple domains.
• Experience owning system architecture for complex hardware.
• Track record from concept to mass production including EVT/DVT/PVT and certification.
• Experience with RF/antenna integration and power/thermal management.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and ODM/JDM collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architectures across electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and software.
• Create block diagrams and interaction diagrams to guide implementation.
• Analyze budgets for power, thermal, and computation and balance performance, size, and cost.
• Lead concept studies with internal and external teams and present outcomes.
