Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, and power domains. You will drive technical standards, collaborate with EE, RF, SW, and ME leads, and ensure production-ready designs through cross‑functional reviews and rigorous verification.

You will coordinate with ODM/JDM partners and navigate regulatory certification while guiding design decisions to scale the hardware platform for mass production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience with cross-disciplinary expertise.
• Experience owning system architecture and technical decisions for complex hardware.
• Proven track record from concept to mass production including EVT/DVT/PVT and certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, and software interfaces.
• Define system requirements with testable targets for engineering and test teams.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design reviews and drive technical direction with EE, RF, and ME leads.
• Own system-level verification, validation strategy, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with ODM/JDM and manufacturing partners for production readiness.
