Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture and cross‑disciplinary decisions for mission‑critical hardware. You will lead architectural standards, balance constraints across electrical, RF, and mechanical domains, and drive design through to mass production.

You will partner with EE, RF, and ME leads to define requirements, oversee verification, and ensure production readiness, while navigating regulatory certification and supplier collaborations for

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience owning system architecture for complex hardware.
• Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT, certification, and manufacturing ramp.
• RF/antenna integration, power and thermal management expertise.
• Familiar with hardware certification and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with ODM/JDM or contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Own system architecture and engineering processes across electrical, RF, mechanical, and software interfaces.
• Define system requirements, drive cross‑functional design decisions, and ensure production readiness.
• Lead risk analysis, verification strategies, and mitigate integration risks.
• Collaborate with EE, RF, ME leads and suppliers to meet performance, size and cost targets.
