Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect for Axon 911, with hybrid work options and relocation support. You will own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and power domains, partnering with EE, RF, SW, and ME leads to drive production-ready hardware.

The role emphasizes defining requirements, managing risk, and leading design reviews to ensure robust, scalable systems. Remote eligibility may be case-by-case, with onsite hubs in major U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience across EE/RF/ME domains.
• Experience owning system architecture and cross-disciplinary technical decisions for complex hardware.
• Proven track record taking battery-powered hardware from concept through mass production.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and validation plans, and maintain traceability from PRD to V&V.
• Lead cross-discipline design reviews and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Own system-level verification, validation strategy, and risk mitigation.
