The Atlantic District in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking a Principal General Agent to lead and grow our local insurance agency. You will rebuild and mentor the sales team, craft plans to expand our footprint, and guide daily operations with a focus on growth and client service.

The ideal candidate has a track record in insurance sales/agency management, a Virginia license, and strong networking and negotiation skills. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in insurance sales or agency management.
• Virginia Life, Accident, and Health License.
• Established track record of building and maintaining professional networks.
• Strong command of presentation and negotiation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build and cultivate a high-performing sales force by recruiting and mentoring talented insurance professionals.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our footprint throughout the Newport News area.
• Foster an inclusive and energetic office culture that supports individual achievement and shared success.
• Oversee the daily operations of the agency to ensure we are consistently hitting our growth targets.
• Serve as a key leader, providing hands-on guidance to help your team navigate complex sales cycles.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine our outreach strategies and improve client acquisition efforts.
