Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the architectural vision for FuzeRx, guiding high-volume, secure B2B and consumer platforms. You will mentor senior engineers, set engineering standards, and collaborate across product and operations to meet clinical requirements.

You will lead design for complex integrations, optimize performance on AWS and PostgreSQL, and ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance while shaping the future of digital pharmacy platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design experience.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx's core B2B and consumer platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of high-volume API integrations and complex pharmacy fulfillment logistics.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers to elevate engineering culture and reviews.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards across coding, testing, CI/CD, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align architectures with business goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and data security.
• Drive performance and reliability improvements in PostgreSQL and AWS-based infra.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services through proof-of-concepts.
