Geronimo Power is seeking a Principal Energy Storage Engineer to lead technical direction for utility-scale battery storage projects. You will guide design, interconnection, procurement, construction, and commissioning while interfacing with EPCs, utilities, and project teams.

The role requires deep BESS knowledge or transferable power-system experience, with responsibilities spanning development through operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Eight+ years of progressive engineering experience in battery energy storage, utility-scale power, or related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical work across the full project lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead BESS engineering across development, design, interconnection, procurement, contracting, construction, commissioning, operations.
• Translate requirements into technical criteria, scopes, and specifications.
• Evaluate BESS architectures and major equipment including BMS, PCS, EMS, SCADA, and HV systems.
• Manage technical interfaces among vendors, EPCs, utilities, ISOs, and operations teams.
• Review deliverables for safety, quality, and constructability; drive issue resolution.
