Job summary
Geronimo Power, LLC is seeking an Energy Storage Engineer II to support a growing portfolio of utility-scale battery energy storage system projects. You will work with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to review designs, coordinate interfaces, and ensure safety, quality, and performance.
Responsibilities include evaluating BESS equipment, developing technical requirements, and documenting findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years in battery energy storage, renewable energy, or utility-scale power
- Ability to review drawings, calculations, specs, and equipment documentation
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Support BESS engineering across development, design, interconnection, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and asset improvement.
- Review technical drawings, calculations, specifications, studies, submittals, and vendor documentation for comments and gaps.
- Coordinate technical interfaces among suppliers, EPCs, utilities, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain engineering documentation, logs, design comments, and project records accurately.
- Travel up to 15% based on project needs.
