Job summary

Boom Technology seeks a principal electrical engineer to own the end-to-end electrical system of a 42 MW gas turbine platform powering AI data centers.

You will unify power distribution, protection, instrumentation, and controls interfaces across design, bring-up, and field validation, collaborating with propulsion, mechanical, and test engineering to integrate the system from blank sheet to validated hardware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and proving electrical systems for power-dense hardware.
• Depth in at least two areas listed and fluency across all.
• Track record from blank page to tested hardware with real-time fixes.
• Comfort with decisions under incomplete information and quick adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical architecture for major portions of Boom Technology's engine.
• Design and build systems for monitoring, protection, and sensing under real operating conditions.
• Partner with propulsion, mechanical, controls, and test engineering to integrate electricals into the turbine.
• Manage vendor relationships for outsourced hardware.
• Lead root-cause investigations during real-time tests.
• Set technical direction for other engineers in your system.
