Job summary

RTX’s Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer to lead or support digital design efforts for guidance systems. You will work on architecture, requirements, integration, and test across RF/RADAR, Navigation/IMU/GPS, and data link domains, collaborating with multiple teams and suppliers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience and an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design and integration.
• Decomposition of high-level requirements into actionable design and subsystem architecture.
• Active and transferable U.S. government secret security clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems.
• Troubleshoot and test complex circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems.
• Support component-level design reviews and architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with program management and customers.
• Travel up to ~25% may be required.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams through hardware lifecycle stages with a focus on system architecture and design verification.
