Job summary

RTX’s Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department seeks an Electrical Subsystems Digital Senior Principal Engineer in Tucson, AZ. You will lead digital design efforts for development guidance systems and architect subsystems from trade studies through detailed design, while overseeing cost, schedule, and technical progress.

The role requires 10+ years in electronics with analog/digital/power expertise, subsystem architecture experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital and power electronics design and integration.
• Decomposition of requirements into actionable design and subsystem architecture.
• Experience with digital subsystems, systems engineering and requirement validation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex circuit/card assemblies preferred.
• Active and transferable U.S. government Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital design efforts for development guidance systems.
• Architectural development of guidance subsystems through trade studies and requirements decomposition.
• Own program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight.
• Support component level design and test reviews.
• Collaborate with management, customers and suppliers.
• May travel ~25%.
