Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Senior Principal Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead digital design for advanced guidance systems. The role emphasizes subsystem architecture, requirements decomposition, and cross-disciplinary collaboration within the AEGS Department.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, plus an active Secret clearance. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital and power electronics design, integration and production support.
• Experience in digital subsystems, systems engineering, requirement development, requirement validation, CCA design, digital test integration and/or digital supplier management on an effector-based product.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital design efforts for development guidance systems.
• Lead the architectural development of the guidance subsystem through trade studies, requirements decomposition and detailed design.
• Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the early development lifecycle.
• Support component level design and test reviews.
• Mentor and collaborate with functional and program management.
• Assignment may require travel (~25%).
