Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Manager, Pricing—Commercial Excellence in Los Angeles to lead pricing and margin initiatives for the PEPI practice. You will drive value-based pricing, product portfolio optimization, and SKU rationalization while collaborating with C‑level clients and PEPI teams.

The role requires 7–10 years in Revenue & Margin, strong financial acumen, and consulting experience. A top-tier MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience focused on Revenue & Margin with pricing processes expertise.
• Experience with value-based, transactional, discount leakage, and pass-through pricing.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L and cost drivers.
• Consulting experience preferred (not required).
• MBA from a top‑tier university preferred (not required).
• Experience with SQL, BI tools (Tableau/Alteryx) and analytical software.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage high‑quality execution of pricing and margin projects.
• Lead initiatives for margin transparency, channel profitability, and cost-to-serve analyses.
• Develop and implement product portfolio strategies and SKU rationalization.
• Drive price optimization efforts and assess pricing discipline across markets.
• Mentor junior team members and manage client relationships.
• Collaborate with CFO, PEPI teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver recommendations.
