Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Pricing—Commercial Excellence to lead pricing strategy, margin optimization, and value-based pricing programs. You will guide cross‑functional teams and partner with PEPI to deliver actionable insights and dashboards.

The role emphasizes analytics, project leadership, and client collaboration in a fast-paced consulting environment, with a strong emphasis on P&L understanding and price optimization across markets.

Qualifications

• Experience focusing on Revenue & Margin with pricing processes and methodology.
• Strong financial acumen, understanding of P&L and cost drivers.
• 7–10 years of experience in Revenue & Margin with pricing.
• Experience with value-based, transactional, discount leakage, and pass-through pricing; Vendavo experience.
• Analytically driven with exposure to SQL, BI tools (Alteryx, Tableau), SPSS and R.
• Strong quantitative mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional project management and presentation skills.
• Leadership and mentoring of junior team members.
• Ability to work independently in unstructured environments; consulting background helpful.
• MBA from a top-tier university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead high‑quality execution of individual pricing projects.
• Develop margin transparency, pricing analysis, reporting frameworks and dashboards.
• Perform customer segmentation and statistical modeling to drive recommendations.
• Manage client relationships and define project requirements with client teams.
• Guide junior team members and provide mentorship to the project.
