Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Pricing—Commercial Excellence to drive pricing strategy, margin management, SKU optimization, and product portfolio initiatives for the PEPI practice in the United States. You will lead project teams, work with C-level executives, and translate data into actionable recommendations that enhance profitability.

The role requires 7–10 years in Revenue & Margin, strong finance acumen, and experience with pricing processes and governance.

Qualifications

7–10 years of experience focused on Revenue & Margin with experience developing and implementing pricing processes and methodology.
Strong financial acumen, understanding of P&L and cost drivers.
Experience with value-based, transactional, discount leakage, and pass-through pricing; proficiency with pricing governance and waterfall analyses (e.g., Vendavo).
Analytically driven with exposure to SQL, BI tools (Alteryx, Tableau), SPSS or R, and web analytics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience providing intellectual and task leadership on complex projects.
Consulting experience is a plus; MBA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead margin transparency initiatives and cost-to-serve analyses.
Develop product-category pricing and SKU rationalization strategies.
Assess portfolio and define sales and investment plans by category.
Quantify profitability opportunities through pricing levers and process improvements.
Lead client interactions and present findings and recommendations.
