Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales Engineer to lead presale opportunities and manage complex project implementation from scope to close. The role focuses on critical communications technologies, including public safety networks, rugged devices, LTE networks, and integrated command and control.

You will work with sales teams to define requirements, deliver end-to-end solutions, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards across customer engagements nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience or 8+ years in equivalent roles.
• Experience with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) is highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications capable of presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to think creatively and challenge the status quo.
• Solid understanding of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (public/private).
• Knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales Team to deliver end-to-end solutions for customers across various sectors.
• Define directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of technical solutions.
• Provide engineering services including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment per requirements and contracts.
• Prepare system bids aligned to customer needs and product capabilities.
• Coordinate with operations and external developers to meet delivery deadlines.
