Job summary

Motorola Solutions, a global leader in mission-critical communications, seeks a Presales Engineer to manage presale opportunities and implement complex projects for public safety and enterprise customers in the United States.

The role involves close collaboration with the Sales Team, defining requirements, and delivering end-to-end solutions, including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of sales or sales engineering experience in public safety.
• OR 8+ years of sales or sales engineering experience in public safety.
• Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience highly preferred.
• Ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, end-to-end solutions across the country.
• Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of the technical solutions.
• Provide engineering services for customers, including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment in accordance with technical requirements, documentation and contract obligations, system presentation for internal/external customers.
• Preparation of system bids, considering customer needs and the equipment available, and any modifications required with the product group.
• Work with operations as well as other internal and external developers of networking products and systems to meet delivery requirements and deadlines.
