Job summary

CEI America – Digital Tech & AI Transformation Consulting seeks a Presales AI Engineer to join a hybrid technical and consultative sales team in the US (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, DC, TX, Orlando). You will translate business problems into AI solutions and drive technical win strategies with sales, architects, and delivery.

Design and deliver demos/PoVs, craft reference architectures on Azure/AWS/GCP and Databricks/Snowflake, and contribute to RFP/RFI responses.

Qualifications

• Strong background in AI / Machine Learning / Generative AI.
• Experience in data engineering or software development.
• Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (LLMs, vector databases, orchestration tools).
• Experience in technical presales, solution consulting, or architecture roles.
• Enterprise client engagement and consultative selling experience.
• Ability to present complex technical topics to business audiences.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales teams in client meetings, discovery sessions, and executive briefings.
• Translate business problems into AI/ML, GenAI, and data platform solutions.
• Design and deliver custom demos, prototypes, and AI solution walkthroughs.
• Lead Proof of Value (PoV) initiatives aligned to client use cases.
• Develop reference architectures using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), data platforms (Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake), and GenAI frameworks (LLMs, RAG, agents).
• Collaborate on RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution documents.
• Define solution architecture, delivery approach, and effort estimates.
• Enable sales teams with AI solution positioning, demo scripts, and objection handling.
• Support smooth handoff to delivery teams and stay engaged through early delivery phases.

About the Role
The Presales AI Engineer is a hybrid technical and consultative sales role helping enterprise clients understand, evaluate, and adopt AI-driven solutions. You'll partner with sales leaders, solution architects, and delivery teams to translate business challenges into AI solutions, build demos and proof-of-value (PoV) engagements, and drive technical win strategy across enterprise opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree required

• Exposure to Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or enterprise AI platforms
• Prior experience in a system integrator or consulting environment
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, and responsible AI

Ideal Candidate
You're roughly 50% engineer, 50% consultant — someone with real technical depth who's just as comfortable in front of a C-suite audience as they are architecting a solution. You're energized by ambiguity and fast-moving sales cycles, and you can act as a "technical closer" for AI deals.
