Job summary

Puttshack is seeking a friendly Prep Cook to join our high-energy kitchen. You’ll prepare ingredients for menu items, set up prep stations, stock inventory, and maintain sanitation standards while supporting the Executive Chef’s exacting standards.

Our venues operate 7 days a week with variable schedules, typically 15–30 hours weekly. We offer competitive pay and benefits, and value teamwork and guest satisfaction in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age to apply.
• Prior experience in high volume restaurant kitchen.
• Experience operating kitchen tools and appliances such as knives, grills, etc.
• Ability to communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements safely and effectively.
• Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Bring your 'A' Game each and every day.
• Ensure overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests needs.
• Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
• Prepare all ingredients according to portions and recipes
• Communicate inventory or quality issues to Culinary Leadership
• Ability to read a thermometer and food tickets correctly and efficiently
• Accurately account for all items coming out of a station
• Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures, including MSDS.
• Take direction and be a team player
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook.
• Other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side-work, opening, and closing duties.
