Job summary

SCA Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp to support preoperative assessment and perianesthesia care. You will collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and quality care throughout the preoperative period.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, active licensure, and certifications in BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS as applicable. A minimum of one year in ICU/ED/PACU or related settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of ICU, ED, PACU, and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is within scope within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative status at intervals per policy.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of common disease processes.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia care plan.
