SCA Health in the United States is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp and PACU to evaluate patients before and after surgery, monitor vitals, and prepare for anesthesia with a focus on safety and comfort.

The role requires one year of PreOp or PACU experience, an active RN license, and certifications (BLS/BCLS, ACLS; PALS if pediatric care is included). Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Competenze

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state nursing license in good standing.
• Successful completion of BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS.
• Successful completion of ACLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe the pathology and physiology relevant to ongoing care.
• Apply discharge criteria for patient transfer as defined by policy.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care including anesthesia recovery across general, MAC, regional or local techniques.
• Manage patient recovery, protect from injury, and ensure privacy.
• Communicate current status to the care team and provide hand-off reports.
• Provide education and collaborate with the team to ensure quality care.
• Document nursing care completely, accurately, and legibly.
• Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects.
